Neomuna is also home to a new faction – the Cloudstriders. Bungie revealed the first trailer for Destiny 2’s Lightfall expansion during the 2022 Destiny 2 Showcase. The neon-lit cityscape offers tons of verticality and plenty of Calus' Cabal to shoot. Then the new expansion launched on Tuesday, opening. The expansion will take players to an entirely new city on Neptune called Neomuna, a sprawling urban environment that's somewhat untouched by the ravages of war. While the threat of the Darkness in Season of Arrivals or Savathun in The Witch Queen in 2021 are both very exciting, perhaps the most interesting release on the roadmap is the 2022 expansion. Destiny 2: Lightfall Leaves A Bad First Impression The Bungie loot shooters’s latest content dump is a real mixed bag. However, the developers went into detail regarding each of the new additions during the showcase. There's a slew of content to go over, most of which were unveiled in the reveal trailer. On top of that, Bungie spoiled Calus fate in Destiny 2s Lightfall ahead of time through marketing material, and that didnt do the expansion any favors. Destiny 2: Lightfall is the game’s next expansion after The Witch Queen. The first paid, major expansion for Destiny 2 was Curse of Osiris. "Lightfall" already looks like " Destiny 2's" most ambitious expansion yet. The first Destiny 2 DLC was similar to how Destiny 1’s DLC worked. The 2022 Bungie Showcase gave "Destiny 2" players a glimpse of all the exciting things they can expect in the upcoming "Lightfall" expansion next year. Guardians will be fighting against Cabal and other disciples of the Witness.As Destiny 2 approaches its sixth year, players can expect more than just the Lightfall expansion on the horizon.
